Shukri Abi | Founder & Senior Audiologist
Shukri Abi founded Abi Hearing to create a welcoming, community-focused clinic where every patient receives expert, evidence-based hearing and balance care. After graduating from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2005, Shukri made Melbourne her home in 2007. She has worked continuously for more than 20 years across both public hospitals and private clinics; patients improve their hearing and quality of life.
Shukri holds a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) and a Master of Clinical Audiology and is a full member of Audiology Australia and the Hearing Business Alliance.

Niveen is a compassionate and skilled audiologist who finds deep purpose in helping people reconnect through better hearing. With a strong clinical foundation, she provides personalised, evidence-based hearing care to patients of all ages.
Niveen believes that great hearing care combines science, empathy, and trust. She takes the time to listen, understand each person’s unique challenges, and guide them toward practical, lasting solutions.

Hazel Faour | Audiologist
Hazel Onan is a dedicated audiologist who graduated from La Trobe University in 2021 with strong foundations in diagnostic hearing assessment, patient-centred care, and evidence-based clinical practice. She is committed to supporting individuals of all ages with their hearing and communication needs.
Hazel brings warmth, professionalism, and a thoughtful, client-focused approach to every appointment. Her clinical interests include comprehensive hearing assessments, tinnitus support, hearing aid fitting and management, and counselling clients and families throughout their hearing-health journey.
Known for her gentle communication style and attentive care, Hazel ensures that every client feels heard, understood, and supported. She values ongoing learning and regularly engages in professional development to remain current with best-practice audiology standards.
As a valued member of the Abi Hearing clinical team, Hazel contributes meaningfully to delivering trusted, high-quality audiology services to the community.

Mirela’s warm welcome when you arrive at Abi Hearing reflects the positive experience you will have with all our staff.
